Palerang council have reopened the Braidwood saleyard after restrictions of Covid-19 forced the yards to temporally close. Palerang council have also waived fees associated with the yards, a package that has been on offer since 18th of December due to drought condition and will end on the 30th of June.
The yards will reopen under strict social distancing measures and registered buyers only in attendance. Markets are still extremely strong with very little effect of overseas trade yet to discourage buyers. There has been a very strong restocker interest from the West and slowly gaining from the south with growers and an abundance of feed.
We would encourage anyone looking to sell cattle to consider the upcoming Braidwood Cattle sales with the current package Palerang council have supplied with waived fees, a very strong market and supporting our closest selling centre when considering freight costs.
Monthly fat sale will operate on the 7th June 2020.
WJ Gibbs & Co will be operating a Special Calf Sale with a 1,000 calves set to be sold on the 12th of June. Further entries are welcomed and invited.
