Braidwood Friday the 2nd of June 2017,


Numbers where firm with a yarding of 1,187 at Braidwood last Friday Of which 470 where consigned to W.J. Gibbs & Co. The majority of the yarding consisted of cows and weaner cattle, with limited numbers of trade cattle. Light weight heifers made a top of $887 A/C MT & VM Royds Braidwood, 20, 263kg Angus heifers, making 338c/kg realising $887. They sold to 354c/kg also A/C MT & VM Royds’ 16 Angus Heifers weighing 227kg realising $804.

Heavy heifers sold to 284.2c/kg A/C S & D Marsh “Branxton Park” 3 Hereford heifers, 413kg realising $1,173.

Light steers sold to $1,020 again A/C MT & VM Royds 19 Angus steers, 258kg making 396c/kg.

Trade steers sold to a top of 365c/kg, 334kg realising $1,219 and trade heifers selling to a top of 330c/kg for 333kg realising $1,101.

Cows sold to a top of 250c/kg, 635kg realising $1,587.50

Also A/C “Gibraltar” Bungendore sold 9 Angus Cows 654kg, making 226c/kg realising $1,478 and Wincraden Pastoral saw there 5 Angus cows 760kg make 217c/kg realising $1,649.

11 Angus heifers PTIC A/C Marrett Holdings sold for $1,560 and Cows and Calves sold to a top of $1,540.

Bulls sold to a top of 255c/kg, A/C Gallagher Family 820kg Angus Bull realising $2,091.
